Stupid Blogger

I haven't posted in some time. I tried to upload some pictures of the pumpkin patch but my "add picture" icon won't work. And, I've also noticed I can't comment on anyone's blog either. Stupid blogger.

So. We went to the pumpkin patch.
Without pictures, it just seems too boring.

Hopefully, I can try back later and it will work. Who knows!

I also took all 4 kids to see the Toy Story double feature. It cost me $42.50 in admission. I bought snacks at Wally World the day before, spent about $15. So, it was an expensive day. BUT!! We had the entire theater to ourselves!! Me and my 4, my friend and her 2 boys. One man came in with his little girl about half way through the first movie (why would you pay that much to only see part of a movie??) but that was it!! To me, with my personal space issues, it was totally worth it.

I didn't have to worry about the kids talking and disturbing others.

They could change seats as often as they liked.

During the break between the movies, they ran up and down the aisles, something I would NEVER let them do in a full theater.

In other news, I found a somewhat solution to the fighting I talked about in the last post--chores. Lots and lots of chores.
If they are busy working for me, they have no time for fighting! And, they unite in their hatred of chores so really, I'm giving them bonding time. And getting a cleaner house for it. "Win win" I say!

  1. Expensive movie!
Chores... send your kids to my house when they're done at yours. I could use some more help around here right about now.

  2. Great solution to the fighting problem. Blogger pisses me off a lot. I can't move things around in my sidebar. I added a button and I can't move it around. WTF Blogger? Keep trying!
I used to give my kids a time out in their beds when I needed a break from them. Even 5 minutes seemed like an eternity to them. I'm lucky we all get along very well now that they're older.
(A lot of people don't like "time outs" as punishment but I was spanked so that's what worked for me. Hey, a little peace and quiet never killed anyone! IMO)
    Hugs!!

  3. Nhuh? I can comment on my own blog but not on anyone else's? What has this world come to?!

Ami, I would gladly send them your way but I betcha you'd send them back pretty darn fast!

Green Eyed, I have NO problem with time outs! I have learned that they are more effective for some kids than others. My daughter hates to be isolated but Jarrett doesn't mind. So,you know..we have a great selection of punishments here!

Thanks for the comments, even if I can't return the favor right now! Stupid blogger.

  4. I took my kids to see a 3D movie - and the tickets were $3 EXTRA each. It ended up costing our family of four $70 dollars (with popcorn and drinks) to see a movie.
Needless to say, we'll be renting movies for awhile!
