I had a revelation today: the only time one gets to really enjoy Christmas, is AFTER Christmas!
I had my shopping done early. Even grocery shopping. Had things wrapped.
But, here it is the 24th and I'm still rushing to get everything done! Wishing I could just sit and light a candle and relax.
I am looking forward to tomorrow. I hope the kids have a great time.
I had planned on taking a picture of the kids in front of the tree but..didn't happen.
Just invision 4 beautiful children, dressed up in the bestest church clothes. Sitting with their arms around each other and smiling perfectly into the camera. Got that vision in your head?
Great. Now go 2 houses down. That's where we are.
Merry Christmas Bloggy Friends!! I love each and every one of you and wish you only the bestest for the New Year!
Merry Christmas!!

Hope you had a chance to enjoy! We always enjoyed Christmas Day!!! We never went anywhere until 5:00pm. We go to my parents but the entire day we lay around and watch movies until we have to head over to my parents and we go over there in our casual clothes, no dressing up on Christmas day!! My parents insist. It is a lazy, laid back night and we sing carols and we munch on cold cuts, cheeses and side dishes, no formal dinner, with ALL the family.
ReplyDeleteChristmas Eve we get dressed up and have a fancy dinner at my house and my parents come to my house.
You have to have time to enjoy it, so if December 26th is your day then so be it!!! Just so you have at least one day for you to ENJOY!!!
This cracks me up- go two houses down. I know how you feel about being able to rest AFTER Christmas is over. But hey...who else is going to take the time to shop, wrap, organize and everything else mommys do?? nobody in this house!!! Well that's not true...it would happen, just not the way I would do it.
